Melanie R. Vargas, SPHR

 Melanie Vargas has over 20 years of experience in human resources for entrepreneurial high-technology companies in managing the areas of organizational development, strategic planning, recruitment, compensation, benefits, and the implementation of HR practices. Melanie's consulting practice specializes in effectively managing and implementing human resources for rapidly growing technology companies, while creating and sustaining exceptional workplace cultures. Melanie's last in-house position was at Nextel Communications (Sprint Nextel), where she was an area Senior Manager. Prior to joining Nextel, Melanie was the Vice President of Human Resources for CapitalStream, Inc., a B2B e-commerce company focusing on web solutions for the business finance industry. Prior to CapitalStream, she was Director of Human Resources for a high-tech medical device company, LifeSpex, Inc. Earlier in her career, she held a number of positions with early-stage high tech organizations implementing HR practices. In addition, she was in Executive Search at Meridian Consulting. Throughout her human resources career, Melanie has worked in the enterprise software, biotechnology and wireless industries. Melanie is a member of the Society of Human Resources and has achieved certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). |
