 Melanie Vargas has over 15 years of experience in human resources for entrepreneurial high-technology companies in managing the areas of organizational development, strategic planning, recruitment, compensation, benefits, and the implementation of HR practices. Melanie's consulting practice specializes in effectively managing and implementing human resources for rapidly growing technology companies, while creating and sustaining exceptional workplace cultures. Most recently, Melanie held a senior management position in Human Resources for the Pacific Northwest Region for Nextel Communications, Inc. Prior to joining Nextel, Melanie was the Vice President of Human Resources for CapitalStream, Inc., a B2B e-commerce company focusing on web solutions for the business finance industry. Prior to CapitalStream, she was Director of Human Resources for a high-tech medical device company, LifeSpex, Inc. Earlier in her career, she held a number of positions with early-stage high tech organizations implementing HR practices. In addition, she was in Executive Search at Meridian Consulting.
