Federal COBRA Subsidy Extended into 2010
Posted In: Human Resources, Compensation, Healthcare, Compliance
Well it is official, the Federal COBRA Subsidy has been extended into 2010. What does that mean to you and your company?
One of our Trusted Resources, Strategic Pay Series, has a great Blog post that gives a wonderful overview as to what the extension includes and what it will mean to businesses in 2010.
It is interesting to note that the legislation also provides an additional 13 to 20 weeks of unemployment benefits to American workers. Unemployment insurance benefits will increase by $25 a week as a result of the change.
Check the Post out and let us know what you think about the extension. You can also get additional information on the Department of Labor website and the Society of Human Resource Management website.
